Wrap-Up

At the beginning of this learning module, you were presented with a challenge that asked you to think about how you could move the students in your school from engagement to empowerment.

After your initial challenge, you were presented with a pre-assessment to measure how your own classroom practices empower your students.

Review your score from the pre-assessment.

You can download the text of the survey here

After dividing by ten, did you score low (closer to 0) or high (closer to 4)?

If you scored closer to zero, how do you intend to use the knowledge that you learned in this unit to improve student empowerment in your classroom? Write down some specific strategies you would like to try.

If you scored closer to four, you already have some great methods of student empowerment happening in your classroom, were there any new strategies that you would like to try?

How have your initial thoughts about student empowerment practices changed? How would you incorporate strategies from each of the six forms of empowerment to improve your classroom learning environment?
